Past Project Highlights

  • Recycling K061

Past regulatory compliance work saw Eddy Out working with various state level environmental agencies to find was to legally recycle K061, also known as electric arc furnace dust. Through tedious analytical writing and many conversations, we received documents of approval from seven states. Kentucky in early 2024 was the first to fully legally approve the recycling of K061 with the help of our documents. This has saved manufacturing companies money during disposal & manufacturing as well as making them more environmentally friendly. Embracing sustainable practices in the manufacturing field proactively enhances both the environment and the economy.

  • Big Sky 2022 Green House Gas Inventory

In the past, Garrett has worked in Big Sky Montana with Big Sky Sustainability Network to update and rewrite the 2022 Green House Gas Inventory for the township of Big Sky. In this report, it details the scope one and two emissions of Big Sky from residential and commercial sectors. Also included in the report is vehicle motor transportation data as well as solid waste. GHGI and GHG reports are imperative to help track and report out sustainability metrics. They can also inform a company how to make positive changes moving forward. Creating documents such as this are beneficial to the company, its clients, and to further environmental progress.

  • Sustainable Procurement Documents

Sustainable procurement refers to the purchasing of environmentally preferable products for a company or business. Garrett in the past created the first ever sustainable procurement documents for Montana State University. These documents help to manage the upstream waste on campus to create a sense of culture change and reduce waste with the goal of helping the University reach it's Zero Waste goal by 2035. Furthermore, working with Big Sky Sustainability Network, Garrett created sustainable procurement documents for Lone Mountain Land Company (Yellowstone Club, Spanish Peaks, Moonlight Basin), Big Sky Mountain Resort, and the Community of Big Sky.
