Highlighting Recent Successes | Wisdom Environmental Steel Shot Production Emissions

When Wisdom Environmental, a leader in industrial recycling, needed a clear, data-driven way to showcase the environmental benefits of their steel shot recycling process, they turned to Eddy Out Sustainability Consulting. Our analysis revealed a staggering 99.58% reduction in CO₂ emissions per ton of Steel Shot production emissions when using recycled steel shot instead of virgin steel shot—an impact that can’t be ignored.

This report not only highlights Wisdom Environmental’s commitment to sustainability but also helps their clients see the real-world benefits of choosing recycled materials. By significantly lowering Scope 3 Emissions, Eddy Out is continuing to work with Wisdom Environmental on pioneering greater data analysis and sustainability reporting in the Industrial Manufacturing field in the United States

  • KO61 Legal Compliance

    Eddy Out worked Patriot ERD, a hazardous waste remediation company to find legal ways to recycle K061, also known as electric arc furnace dust. This led us to work and interact with several state-level environmental agenices. After extensive analytical writing and numerous discussions, we secured approval documents from seven states, with Kentucky being the first to fully approve K061 recycling in early 2024. This initiative has saved manufacturing companies money on disposal and production while promoting environmentally friendly practices that benefit both the economy and the environment.

  • 2022 Big Sky Green House Gas Inventory

    Garrett collaborated with the Big Sky Sustainability Network in Big Sky, Montana, to update and rewrite the 2022 Greenhouse Gas Inventory (GHGI) for the township. The report includes data on scope one and two emissions from residential and commercial sectors, along with vehicle transportation and solid waste data. GHGI and GHG reports are crucial for tracking sustainability metrics and guiding companies in making positive environmental changes that benefit both their operations and broader environmental progress.

  • Sustainable Purchasing Documents

    Garrett developed the first sustainable procurement documents for Montana State University, aimed at reducing upstream waste and supporting the university's goal of achieving Zero Waste by 2035. These documents help foster a culture of sustainability on campus by promoting the purchase of environmentally preferable products. Additionally, Garrett collaborated with the Big Sky Sustainability Network to create sustainable procurement documents for organizations such as Lone Mountain Land Company, Big Sky Mountain Resort, and the Community of Big Sky.

  • Energy Efficiency Audits for HRDC

    Eddy Out worked with the Human Resource Development Council (HRDC) in Bozeman to complete an energy efficiency audit and analysis, providing essential data to support HRDC’s application for a BUILT grant. This grant was aimed at funding energy efficiency improvements for nonprofit organizations. Through this collaboration, Eddy Out helped HRDC gather the necessary analysis to qualify for the grant, which will enable the organization to make impactful improvements to its energy systems, reducing costs and environmental impact.
